Weather Our tours go rain or shine! Please come prepared for the weather with appropriate clothing. We will cancel tours if the travel conditions are treacherous and unsafe. In these instances we will issue you a full refund and give you as much notice as possible.
Cancellation & Late Arrival For our open tours you may cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start time will be issued a 50% refund. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the tour start time we are unable to wait as our tours are on a firm schedule, and will consider this a non-refundable cancellation.
Weekend Kick-Off Tour Itinerary
The Catskills is a unique farming region, filled with small family farms making incredible artisanal products. Join us on this half day tour for a taste of the incredible products in this region and a chance to meet the dedicated farmers that make them.
After a quick drive up and over the mountain past stunning views we’ll stop at a sugar shack and learn how sap is harvested and boiled into delicious maple syrup. Tour the sap house, taste the different grades and even try water straight from the trees!
The Deysenroth Family has been farming their land for 9 generations. Paul and Gwen will tour you around their small dairy farm. Meet the cows and calves then learn how they make their raw milk gouda cheese and enjoy a taste! Dairy farming has a rich history in the Catskills.
Kune kune pigs, Dexter cattle and goats and chickens galore! Donna and Micheal love raising unique heritage breeds on their small livestock farm. The laying hens will follow us around on the tour as we learn about these incredible animals and how Donna and Michael lovingly care for them. You’ll get some great stories along the way!
Finish the afternoon with a drink! Todd and Brian have been crafting vodka, gin, whiskey and even their own maple spirit for the past three years, committed to using local sources for their products. Try it all, then tour the distillery with your favorite cocktail.
