Catskills Winter Farm Tour

Come enjoy a magical winter excursion with us! We’ll hop in the van and visit a variety of local farmers, producing tasty food and alcohol! Meet the passionate, sustainable local farmers in the area. This tour is an incredible opportunity to sample the bounty of the region. We’ll visit a waterfall, farm-to-table cafe, cider tasting room, maple syrup farm and creamery! One thing’s for sure, you won’t end this day hungry!

Waterfall

We’ll take a short walk to a beautiful view of this 80 foot waterfall and learn all about the pristine waters of Catskills Watershed which supplies 90% of NYC’s water.

Cider

Ryan invites us into his tasting room for a flight of this year’s hard cider. These incredible, dry ciders are hand-crafted and Ryan loves to share all the details of this incredible trade!

Lunch

Shannon whips up an incredible meal at her cafe, supplied directly from her family’s own farm and other local farms in the area. Browse the multiple cookbooks she’s written and finish it off with the best gluten-free pies and bakery you’ve ever had.

Maple Syrup

Sharon will introduce you to how maple syrup is harvested and made, from tree to bottle! You’ll sample the different grades and even get a chance to try your hand at making maple syrup candy. Then browse her incredible line of off-the-farm maple inspired products. We can’t resist the maple popcorn or the homemade pickles every time! Depending on the weather, the sap may even be flowing and the syrup boiling!

Cheese

Corrine and Ron have been running their creamery for over 30 years. Take a tour, peek in the cheese cave and learn how they make their incredible German Tilston cheese. Then help yourself to samples of the variety of flavors they make, from beer to lavender to black tea. Be prepared to take some cheese home, their on-farm prices are one of the best-kept secrets in the area!
